I bring you warm greetings from me and the entire team at Women Caring and Counselling Centre (WCCC). We thank God the Almighty for being with us in this FY 2019/2020 amidst all the challenges. On behalf of the Team at WCCC and on my own behalf, I would like to extend our sincere gratitude to our International Development Partners and the Board of Trustees for the spiritual, material, financial and moral support that has made program implementation possible. This support has also given us the strength to keep moving even through the many challenges we face daily. It’s my humble prayer that this support never withers. We are contacting more Local and International Development Partners for more partnerships.
I would also like to mention that the major challenge we faced in this activity year, and are still facing, is the COVID-19 pandemic that has caused the whole country to be under lockdown since late-March 2020. Since all of our activities involve interacting with individuals, the Covid-19 social distancing guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health caused an indefinite suspension of those activities. This was a precautionary measure to prevent community transmissions. Many of our activities’ timelines also had to be adjusted indefinitely, thereby greatly affecting our program schedules.
In this report, therefore, I am happy to share with you our recently implemented and activities/projects, achievements, challenges and possible solutions.
I thank you and may the Good Lord continue to bless you all.
Yours in service,
Maureen Serwanga (Mrs.),
Executive Director, WCCC
